Sinn Féin Poblachtach condemns the racist graffiti that appeared in the Bogside, Derry yesterday (May 18).

Racism is anathema to Republicanism and cannot be tolerated. The present problems surrounding housing is in no way the fault of those fleeing wars and persecution but the fault of both partitionist assemblies in Ireland as well as the various imperialist wars from the recent past and presently ongoing. 

We call on all the people of Ireland to lay the blame directly where it be, at the elected representatives of Leinster House and Stormont. 

We must confront racism wherever we see it.
