Sinn Féin Poblachtach sends our condolences to the McElwee family on the passing of Alice McElwee, Bellaghy, Co Derry.

It is almost forty years since Alice’s son Óglach Thomas McElwee died on Hunger Strike. We remember the courage and strength that she showed during this time of extreme hardship and for the many years afterwards.
