CT AOH ADVOCACY EFFORTS IN PLACE FOR US IRISH UNITY POLICY
“Based on an approved resolution by the Connecticut State Ancient Order of Hibernians, seeking Irish re-unification, the Connecticut Ancient Order of Hibernians will petition the U.S. Congress for hearings seeking to change the current U.S. policy that has consistently supported British rule over six Irish counties, and also will advocate an end to partition of Ireland in the context of a British withdrawal from the above mentioned six occupied Irish counties to be followed by an establishment of a 32 county Federal Irish Republic that will advance peace and true democracy for all in Ireland.
Copies of this resolution suitably engrossed are to be sent to the Ambassadors of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland to the United States. Additional engrossed copies are to be sent to the United States Secretary of State, the United States Ambassadors to the Republic of Ireland, the United States Special Envoy to Northern Ireland, US legislators, and the Irish National Caucus.”
