“On September 17th 2017, Republican Sinn Féin activists assembled at various points around Croke Park for the All Ireland Football Final between Mayo and Dublin. Thousands of leaflets were distributed to highlight the disgraceful collaboration between the GAA top brass and those who occupy six of Ireland’s north eastern counties.
To further their agenda of normalisation and collaboration in the match day program was an advertisement to join the ‘PSNI’. An armed and abusive organisation set up to maintain British law in Ireland. Republican Sinn Féin utterly deplores this advertisement, in itself it gives not only justification for the days activities but highlights the need for an increased presence in future.”
