A large online operation was carried out by either British Intelligence Services or Gardaí against Sinn Féin Poblachtach yesterday (September 20th) and today (September 21st).

Yesterday a large number of Sinn Féin Poblachtach members had their Facebook pages hacked and the accounts later temporarily locked by Facebook due to unusual logins. Around the same time every single Sinn Féin Poblachtach Cumann page in Ireland, England, Scotland and our international page were removed from Facebook with the exception of our National page.

The next morning our National page with over seventeen thousand followers was taken down by Facebook and a number of our members received bans. Upon requesting a review of the ban they received permanent bans almost immediately with no option to appeal further.

As Irish Republicans we are all too familiar with censorship from our oppressors and those who collaborate with them. We will not be silenced!
