Preas Ráiteas – Statement: 21/07/2017
Statement issued from the Sinn Féin Poblachtach Publicity Department.
“In the past two months international delegates of Sinn Féin Poblachtach have been busy in several countries highlighting the ongoing harassment of people in the Occupied Six Counties, the Miscarriage of Justice concerning JP Wooton and Brendan Mc Convill and the ongoing attempts to Extradite Liam Campbell to Lithuania.
At press conferences in Moscow and Istanbul much interest was shown in these issues as well as how Brexit will affect Ireland/Europe as well as the “cost of unity” should Ireland be united. The knowledge of the issues surrounding Irish unity was impressive.
The delegate asked the assembled press to highlight two issues in particular; that of the Craigavon two and Liam Campbell, as one has such close similarities to other past miscarriages of justice in the British Judicial system and the other borders on torture, considering the fact this is the third attempt to extradite Liam.
In Moscow several articles appeared in Russian language papers as well as many Instagram articles. (https://www.ridus.ru/news/256470)

Also HALK CHEPESI have undertaken the task of faxing Lithuanian and UK embassies 500 times each night top demand justice for JP and Brendan as well as a cessation of all attempts extradite Liam. Also an article was printed in their Turkish language youth magazine which is distributed to many European countries. (http://www.anti-imperialistfront.org/?p=2417)
