Ráitheas / Statement
“RSF Corcaigh strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Manchester last night. We also send our deepest sympathies and condolences to each victim of these horrendous attacks and their families.
While people around the world stand in solidarity RSF Corcaigh find it strongly offensive and unnecessary to fly the “Butchers Apron” – The Union Jack over Cork city hall. Soldiers under this same flag burned Cork city to the ground only under 100 years ago. We call on the city council to remove this flag and propose they fly the flag of Manchester itself or open a book of condolences or a minutes silence before the next council meeting.”
