Gerry Adams: Extraordinary Development

Preas Ráitheas / Press Release – 29/11/2016

“An ‘extraordinary development’ is how the Free State Taoiseach Enda Kenny described the set of circumstances surrounding Gerry Adams passing on names of members of his own party to the Garda Commissioner in relation to the death of prison officer Brian Stack in 1983.

Extraordinary indeed but to Irish republicans this comes as no suprise, this has afterall been the trajectory of the Provisionals under Adams’ leadership since they began to administer British rule on behalf of their Free State/British paymasters.  They have gone full circle to open touting, apologists for the imperialist cause in Ireland, these actions are an admission of outright defeat and surrender and an acceptence of their pittance under capitalist rule.

Reactionaries who highjacked a Revolutionary Movement have no place using the name of Irish Republicanism of which many have martyered themselves in its pursuit, the cause remains unfinished, as Adams attends the funeral of a true socialist internationalist and revolutionary hero, Fidel Castro;  let it be noted, when he passes on he will be marked for what he is, a failure to the cause he served and a tout to those who trusted him, this is a truth in the context of the cause he at one time served.”
