“Today it has come to our attention that two members of the Republican Sinn Féin – Thomas Harte Cumann, Lurgan have faced verbal threats on their lives from a group styling itself the P.A.F. – Protestant Action Force.  We believe this group to be a cover name for a longer established Loyalist organisation.

The RUC/PSNI also issued a threat notice to a member of RSF outside his home on the 6th of August, earlier that morning graffiti was noticed on an area wall with the threat.  We believe the issue of this notice to be nothing more than fear-mongering on behalf of the PSNI.

Historically collaboration between British colonial police and loyalists has been rife resulting in many sectarian murders within the nationalist and republican communities.  We urge the public to be vigilant and to report anything suspicious in the area to Republican Sinn Féin immediately. “
