In the early hours of this morning, December 22, 2020, in what Sinn Féin Poblachtach believe to be a series of coordinated searches, British crown forces raided a house in Newtownbutler, Co Fermanagh causing significant damage before arresting a member of the Organisation.

He was taken to Musgrave Street RUC station in Belfast.
Meanwhile, members of the 26-County police from Monaghan and Cavan searched a number of farm and derelict buildings along the Fermanagh/Cavan Border.

This is following in a major increase in harassment and intimidation or Sinn Féin Poblachtach members in the Cavan/Fermanagh area with numerous attempts by Mi5 to recruit informers. Christmas time is traditionally a period where republicans see increased house raids and harassment as the RUC/PSNI raid homes stealing children’s Christmas presents and months later return them broken, also phones, laptops and any electronic devices in the house disappear never to be seen again.

Sinn Féin Poblachtach calls for the immediate release of our activist.
