A statement from a lady that members of Republican Sinn Féin in Armagh recently helped when she faced eviction from her home in the Drumbeg North Estate in Craigavon Co. Armagh.
“In June 2018 the northern Ireland housing executive got a repossession order for my home and told me I was to be evicted along with my children. This was over £2400 arrears which was due to a change in circumstances with the HMRC, I was at a very low point and no one was helping me, I then approached a member of Republican Sinn Féin and asked could they help me as I know they help a lot of people. They offered me every support possible for which I am forever grateful as without them and my brilliant solicitor, Niall Murphy of Madden and Finucane Belfast, who was highly recommended by Republican Sinn Féin, only for Republican Sinn Féin I would of lost my home, Republican Sinn Féin told me and reassured me that they would be with me every step of the way, and they were, they told me to stay my ground and I did, so thank you Republican Sinn Féin, Ruairí (Ó Brádaigh) would be so proud of you all, I now have my home and peace of mine and my kids are happy, thank you, Kate.”
We are delighted that this lady and her children are able to stay in her home. We would like to commend our members for the help they gave this lady. Our members are heavily involved in community work across the country and are widely available to assist people who are in need.
