R.I.P. Peadar Murray

Peadar MurrayRepublican Sinn Féin offer their condolences to the family and comrades of lifelong republican, veteran Volunteer Peadar Murray from County Mayo.

Peadar was active in the Republican Movement operating along the border during Operation Harvest.  He contributed more to the struggle in the years ahead, when the oppression of the British state reached a peak from 1969 onward’s.  During his years of active service he was to endure time as a Political Prisoner.  Despite this he remained true to his oath to the 32 County Republic until his death rejecting the numerous sell-outs the Movement has endured by constitutionalists down the years.  He will be missed by his comrades and was a familiar face at events down the years.  His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him, we will remember him as a true Fenian, unbowed, unbroken.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam, Peadar.
