Republican Sinn Féin members in Cork expressed their disgust at the flying of the Union Jack over Cork City Hall on Thursday, the organisation said, “We would like to express our disgust at the sight of the Butchers Apron flying over Cork City Hall. The same place that Crown Forces burnt to the ground in December 1920. The Butchers apron is soaked in the blood of Cork men and women including former Lord Mayor’s of Cork, Tomás Mac Curtain and Terence MacSwiney. Shame on those Free State lackeys who support the flying of the butchers apron!”

Meanwhile today the Vice President of Sinn Féin Poblachtach Padraig Garvey will be on The Neil Prendeville Show on Corks RedFM after 10am today speaking about Prince Charles in Cork & Kerry as well as the flying of the Butchers apron.”
