March 31, 2018 saw the brutal force of the British State unleashed on unsuspecting Republicans resulting in the abduction of the colour party by crown forces and the beating of the crowd in attendance at Lurgan including a 76-year-old woman who was badly injured.

What happened in Lurgan happened to the entire Republican community not just one group, it was a statement of intent from the British paramilitary RUC/PSNI, that Republicans are no longer safe to remember their patriot dead and if we attempt to do so we will be beaten from the street.

Resistance was on display in Derry as the community arose to challenge those same mercenaries who barreled into the crowd in Lurgan.
