Over the years residents of the Druids Villas, Callan Street, and Culdee areas have been blighted with drug dealing and scores of youths high on drugs/alcohol having parties into the morning hours.

Houses and property have been vandalised by these anti-social elements. In the latest incident, the house of a venerable man with brain injuries was attacked, his fence was destroyed and they attempted to break his windows. This was a sickening attack considering that this man is in need of care, leaving him fearful of his life and afraid to leave the house in case he is attacked.

Later the same anti-social elements broke the windows of a house in Callan Street and threatened another resident of Druids Villas that his was next.

Republican Sinn Féin would like to remind the community that it has our full support in resolving these issues, and we would ask parents to know where your children are at all times before someone gets seriously hurt.
