My name is Padraig Garvey and I am from Foilmore. I’m a carpenter by trade (I worked in the industry for over 13 years) but I now run Cha Healy’s pub in Cahersiveen, along with farming the home place.

I am the Republican Sinn Fein candidate in the upcoming local council elections for the constituency of South & West Kerry.

My campaign is being officially launched this coming Sunday 2nd March in the Foilmore Community Centre starting at 3:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, it’s a good opportunity to meet me if you don’t know me already.

We are in uncertain times – debt, unemployment and a constant attack on local services. BUT, we are more than just an economy, we are a community! Communities grow and prosper through quality services, infrastructure and jobs.

What is needed is a new vision for the future, communities that are supported and grow.
