In a statement on March 19, 2025 a spokesperson for Comhairle Uladh (Ulster Executive), Sinn Féin Poblachtach said: “The recent fawning by so-called republicans/nationalists over the British monarch in the Occupied Six Counties is nauseating.

“Charles Windsor is also the commander-in-chief of the British Crown Forces, including the Parachute Regiment, responsible for the Ballymurphy Massacre, Bloody Sunday, the Springhill Massacre among many other atrocities perpetrated on the people of Occupied Ireland.

“It is also important to remember that this man’s family wealth was built upon the exploitation of the slave trade and the hard work of the impoverished working class. He is one of the most entitled parasites in society.

“Today we witnessed both Windsors sauntering the streets of Belfast. Their visit to an occupied territory in Ireland, Co Antrim will be utilised to make propaganda against the forces of democracy and national freedom. These ‘royals’ represent many tyrants in today’s society; this includes capitalists and landlords.

“Incidentally, he is the head of the British government’s imperialist policies. These people have nothing to offer Irish Republicanism. They are our enemy and that of humanity, and pro-British nationalism needs to hang their heads in shame for fawning over such hypocrisy.

“According to Commandant General of the Dublin Brigade of the Army of the Irish Republic, James Connolly. ‘The British monarchy is a vestige of tyranny, a grand monument to hierarchy and plunder.’

“Sinn Féin Poblachtach have a clear message for the Windsors: Mise Éire, which simply means, ‘I am Ireland’. There is no other, no substitute and it belongs to the people of Ireland.”
