In a statement on August 03 2024, a spokesperson for Comhairle Uladh (Ulster Executive), Sinn Féin Poblachtach, said “today’s scenes in Belfast has been underpinned by the ideology stemming from fascist Nazi Germany”.

“We condemn the poisonous far-right in Ireland, whether it be loyalists from Sandy Row or fascists from Coolock, Dublin. This group of people have nothing to offer the working class people of Ireland. They only spew hate and add division to an already separated community.

“Sinn Féin Poblachtach, has highlighted that scapegoating any group of people serves no purpose. It just distracts from the real causes of problems, which is the British occupation in Ireland and the continued threat from a ultranationalist political ideology and movement throughout Europe.

“No pasarán.”
