The home of the Honorary Vice President and member of Sinn Féin Poblachtach was raided by the PSNI/ RUC last night 25 January 2024 in Dungiven Co.Derry.

80 year old Mickey McGonigle has said that 15 PSNI/ RUC officers raided his house. Mickey was away while the raid took place but his 79 year old wife was in the house at that time. His wife was left feeling threatened by their presence as PSNI/RUC pulled everything out of their drawers.

The raid took place between 7pm to 9pm. Other family members were refused access to the house while the raid took place.

Sinn Féin Poblachtach condemn this raid on Mickey and his wife. This is yet another attack from the PSNI on Republicans. The PSNI may have changed their name but they have the same aim.
